You feel fear when you lose faith- no matter what or who you believe in.
Weird. Sometime this past spring I was on a plane back to Cleveland from Los Angeles (before i moved). I sat next to a guy about my age and we started talking. This is not unusual, I tend to make conversation with the people I end up sitting with on planes-unless they seem creepy. Anyways, at the end of our journey I gave him a link to my facebook artist page , we wished each other well, and that was kind of that.
Fast forwarding to this morning: I woke up really early for some reason and started thinking about how I haven’t been talking to God as much since my move to LA. So I started typing a prayer letter to God (sometimes I type my prayer out when my mind is running so I don’t lose my train of thought lol)
It’s funny, I felt so out of control before I moved-but in a good way. I had knowingly let God take control & work things out for me and they did. Now I randomly decided to turn back into a control freak and try to do things my way and things aren’t working out as nicely. In my letter, I basically told God that I need his guidance. I asked him to take the reigns I had seized back from him the moment I got to LA. I realized this morning that I’m only taking control because I’m kind of scared. Fear is easy to feel when you lose faith- no matter what or who you believe in.
Moving on… I checked the email account linked to my artist page and saw a random email from Rob (that guy I sat with on the plane months back). He wrote really encouraging things and sent me a link to a church service addressing just about everything I have been feeling. So awesome. I wanted to share this with you, I think the pastor did a good job making this sermon relatable to life in general. Anyone can take from it without feeling like they just got beaten over the head with a bible lol. Thanks Rob for sharing this with me. You really inspired my morning.
